Working Team Leader (foundry)

JOB FUNCTION:

The working team lead position has been created to provide shift support in the areas of Safety, quality, and productivity improvement. This is a hands on position with the following key responsibilities.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all foundry operators are wearing appropriate P. P. E.
  • Ensure all operators adhere to L. O. T. O., mobile equipment, fall protection & contained space protocols.
  • Champion of 6S & maintain organized work place.
  • Ensure all foundry operators are following OI s, PES s, Special lot instructions, AVO s, etc. by performing daily workmanship audits.
  • Ensure daily schedule adherence.
  • Ensure waste is removed from processes and team is productive.
  • Responsible for the Labor Utilization of the shift.
  • Fill in for other operatives when there is a need.
  • Assist supervision in maintaining proper product flow.
  • Must be trained, certified and or qualified to perform a minimum of 50% of the operations in the area of responsibility.
  • EDUCATION:

    High school Diplomas/GED Required.

    Some post-secondary education is a plus.

    EXPERIENCE:

  • Must possess good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Proven track record working in a team environment.
  • Significant experience in the foundry area.
  • Previous training experience.
  • INITIATIVE AND INGENUITY:

    Moderate initiative and ingenuity required.

    EFFORT:

    Energetic and Self-motivated. Routinely move 40-50 pounds, 2 or more times per hour.

    RESPONSIBILITY:

    Responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity of Operative employees. Must be willing to work daily overtime and weekend overtime as necessary.

    Extreme temperatures and dirty environment

    The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
